Our apartment is in the heart of Almada, just across the Tagus River from Lisbon. It is a walkable, well-connected neighbourhood with supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, and a metro station all within a few minutes on foot. You get the calm of a real Portuguese community with Lisbon just a short ferry or train ride away.
Approximate location
The apartment is in a very walkable area. Most daily needs — supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, pharmacies — are within a 5–10 minute walk. For longer trips, public transport is excellent.
The neighbourhood is flat and pedestrian-friendly. Supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, and the metro station are all within walking distance.
The closest station is António Gedeão, a short walk from the apartment. It connects to Cacilhas (for the Lisbon ferry), Almada centre, and Corroios.
Local buses cover the entire municipality. Useful for reaching Costa da Caparica beaches, Almada Forum, and other destinations not on the metro line.
The Cacilhas–Cais do Sodré ferry runs every 10–20 minutes. A scenic 10-minute ride with views of the city and the bridge. Reachable via metro from the apartment.
